To coincide with a major re-launch of the Fly Buys brand, Loyalty NZ engaged Provoke to design and build a new website as part of a broader rollout of Microsoft's SharePoint Server 2007 platform.
Fly Buys is New Zealand's leading loyalty program and the site allows members to join, search for participating companies and bonus offers, search for rewards, and maintain account information.
Loyalty needed to enhance the functionality and usability of its information architecture. It was also important that an effective, easy-to-use content management system was in place to ensure seamless in-house maintenance of the new website
In November 2007, the new Fly Buys website went live and Loyalty New Zealand moved to the MOSS platform.
Traffic to the website increased immediately: within ten days the site was attracting an approximately 10,500 visitors a day. In December alone, there were more than three million page views - almost double the monthly average prior to the launch.
Prior to adopting Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007, we relied heavily on external resources to manage disparate and unnecessarily complex aspects of our business.
"I was confident Provoke could do the job effectively based on their previous experience in deploying MOSS solutions, including their work on developing a prototype for a new corporate intranet based on MOSS" says Laurence.
